And oh how I have missed crafting in these last 2 years! I hope that I can start incorporating some crafty time into my normal routine again, and since I didn't stop buying craft supplies these past 2 years, I have plenty of new stuff to explore.
I was looking for a way to jump start my crafting mojo this weekend and found the Color Throwdown challenge.
The teal, pink, and grey combo was just what I needed. I knew immediately that I wanted to use my favorite Distress colors - Picked Raspberry and Peacock Feathers. So I stamped the Penny Black On the Lake stamp and dog from the Newton's Nook Furr-ever Friends in SSS Slate ink and then Versamark, and heat embossed it with clear embossing powder. Then I blended on the Distress Oxide inks and added a banner with a sentiment from the Newton's Nook stamp set.
I didn't intend this to be a pet sympathy card when I started, but as I was looking at the background, it just felt right. I don't currently have a need for this card, but will be thankful to have it on hand when the need does arise.
I've enjoyed this Color Throwdown, and look forward to the next one!
Have a good day.
